Limited Warranty

What Is Covered Under The Warranty:

1. Battery or Battery Bank:
   If the battery stops working we require that the battery/batteries be tested using a carbon pile load tester.
2. Power Inverter
3. Solar Charge Controller

*The solar panels are covered under the solar panel manufacturer’s 25 year warranty.

This limited warranty is valid for one year from the date that the original consumer purchased the solar generator. This warranty is not transferable and is only valid for the original owner.

To better assist you, we require that you email us with pictures showing how the system is connected. That way we can make sure that the generator is correctly installed and is not connected to any devices that would cause the system to not work properly.

You must pay any initial shipping charges required to ship the product for warranty service. The return shipping charges will be at Be Prepared Solars expense if the product is repaired or replaced under warranty.

Customers Must Contact Us Prior To Returning Defective Items. Unauthorized Returns Will Not Be Accepted

This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover:

Any product damaged by accident or weather.

Damage due to misuse or abuse of the product or as a result of unauthorized alterations or repairs.

Damage from failure to follow the operating instructions that are provided.

Damage That Occurs During Shipping:

1. Must be reported to Be Prepared Solar immediately upon arrival. Damage that occurs after you receive the solar generator system is the sole responsibility of the customer.
2. You must take picture of the the damaged items and the shipping box and any inner shipping material that is inside (such as foam inserts and air cushions, etc.)
3. Warranty does not apply to systems that are shipped for use overseas after purchase. We are not responsible for damage or defects caused by a third party shipper.
   
   *If you do not provide the requested information about the damage that is done during shipping we will not be able to replace the damaged items.

Legal Disclaimer

Customers expressly agree that exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute with Be Prepared Solar resides in the courts of the State of Utah and further agree and expressly consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction in the courts of the State of Utah in connection with any such dispute including any claim involving Be Prepared Solar.

Customers further agree that Be Prepared Solar will be entitled to reimbursement for legal fees in the event that a claim is found in favor of the company. 

Be Prepared Solar will not be held responsible for any damage or harm from the improper use of our solar generators or any of their components.

We do not accept any unauthorized returns. Before returning any defective item you must follow the guidelines set forth under the limited warranty guidelines.

If the item is damaged in shipping you may not ship that item back to Be Prepared Solar. You must keep the damaged items and provide pictures of each individual item that is damaged, including the outside and inside packaging so that we can file a damage claim with the shipping company.
